SALISBURY – Rowan Public Library and Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary present “Choosing the Right Pet for Your Family” at RPL Headquarters in Salisbury.  This event will begin at 2:30 pm on Saturday, February 23rd in the Stanback Auditorium of the Library.

The story time and informational session will be led by Nancy Krapf.  As a professional dog trainer, Nancy has taught classes from choosing your puppy, teaching puppy manners and basic obedience, to advanced levels of competition obedience.  Nancy will use her speech and drama teaching background as she reads animal-themed books to the children, and will also include advice on choosing and training pets.

Downtown Salisbury celebrity “Sasha Kitty” will join Nancy to greet guests at the library and will “pawtigraph” her book, Sasha Strolls Salisbury.  The Stitching Post will provide surprises and mementos for those who attend the session.

The library is proud to co-sponsor this event with Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary (FFAS), an animal rescue group formed for the purpose of starting an animal sanctuary in Rowan County, North Carolina.  Be sure to join us for this very special free, family-friendly event!
