Another storm system is set to impact much of the country early this week, bringing heavy rain to the Carolinas.
The system was impacting the Rockies early Sunday, bringing snow from parts of Montana to New Mexico. The storm’s center is forecast to move into Oklahoma Monday, bringing another round of snow to much of the Midwest. Even with the low centered in the Sooner state, an extensive warm front along the Gulf coast will bring showers and thunderstorms from Houston to Jacksonville.
That moisture moves inland, and the Carolinas are set to receive a dose of heavy rain overnight Monday into Tuesday. Anywhere from 1-2 inches of rain will be likely with this system along with 2-4 inches of snow in the mountains.
