Ramero Rauda was working on his car Thursday afternoon when it caught fire. Soon, the flames quickly spread to his 1160 Preston Lane mobile home.
According to the Salisbury Post, Rauda said he started the car, which was under his carport, and it ignited. The fire was called in at 4:41 p.m. His wife was in the house, located off Airport Road, and made it out safely.
When firefighters arrived, the home was more than halfway engulfed in flames. Rauda said, through an interpreter, that he’s lived in the home for three years.
It wasn’t clear where Rauda and his wife were going to stay as of Thursday night.
