The Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers, Inc. (CRCHC) invites the public to the Grand Opening of its new clinic, China Grove Family Medicine, located at 308 E. Centerview Street, China Grove on Saturday February 9, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to p.m. The Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers, Inc. is a federally qualified health center providing health care to adults and children who are uninsured as well as those who have insurance. Individuals without insurance are eligible for services based on a sliding fee scale.
The clinic was developed by community partners in an attempt to reach those Rowan County residents who do not have a medical home where they receive on-going medical care. Rowan Regional Medical Center and Rowan Health Department have been instrumental in the development of the clinic. Darise Caldwell, President of Rowan Regional Medical Center, commented, “The China Grove clinic provides another access to care point for our community, particularly for those with limited resources. We have worked for three years to bring this resource to our community and are delighted to now have it open.”
According to Robert Freeman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers, “We are pleased to be able to meet the health care needs of Rowan County residents. We have had two clinics in Concord since 2006 and after a competitive application process, the federal government provided funds to expand our services to China Grove. We will initially operate the clinic Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. We look forward to serving residents of Rowan and Cabarrus counties, but will also accept patients from other counties.”
Opening comments for the event will be made a 11:15 a.m. by speakers Darise Caldwell, President of Rowan Regional Medical Center and Robert Freeman, CRCHC Chairman of the Board.
