The owner of a Salisbury convenience store was shot and killed during a robbery Monday night.

Rowan County authorities said 59-year-old Hecham Abualeinan was shot and killed during a robbery at the Z&H Mart off of Mooresville Road around 9:30 p.m.

When authorities arrived at the convenience store they discovered Abualeinan suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
Investigators from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and the NC SBI are currently working this investigation.
