SALISBURY – Eric Soto was only 14 when he was killed in a car crash early Sunday morning on Goodnight Road.  The driver of the car, Francisco Romero Huerta, was charged with drunk driving and felony death by vehicle.

Soto was the son and brother to two employees of the popular Lazy 5 Ranch in western Rowan County, and now the owners of the Lazy 5 are planning a barbecue fund raiser to help the family to pay for the funeral.

The fund raiser is being planned for Saturday, December 15 at the Lazy 5.
