CHINA GROVE, NC (WBTV)- WBTV Sports has learned today that Carson Head Football Coach Mark Woody has resigned from his football duties and will now be the athletic director for the school.
Woody was the first ever coach for the school when it opened back in 2006.
In that time, he compiled a record of 28-54 in his seven seasons. He did have back to back winning season in 2009 and 2010.
Carson is the largest high school in Rowan County, so it will be a highly sought after job as the coaching carousel continues to spin.
