High School Basketball results from Tuesday night included:
(Boys) West Rowan 67 South Rowan 65 (West hits 11 three pointers and rallies from an 11 point defecit. Celexus Long leads the Falcons with 24 points, that included six three pointers. Seth Martin had 17. Shawn Spry led South with 20 points and Josh Medlin added 14. West improved to 7-10 overall, 5-1 in the NPC. South dropped to 11-9, 4-4 in the NPC.)
(Girls) West Rowan 55 South Rowan 50 (Lady Falcons trailed by four at halftime, but had a 14-0 run at the start of the second half to get back control of the game. Shay Steele had 23 points and six blocked shots. NeNe Dixon scored 14. South was led by Cassidy Chipman with 23 points and Avery Locklear had 16. West is now 16-1 overall, 5-1 in the NPC.)
(Boys) East Davidson 55 Salisbury 51 (Hornets rallied from ten down just over two minutes remaining to tie, but then lost when East Davidson’s Austin Miller hit a crucial three pointer with just three seconds left to give the Golden Dragons the lead and the win. Taylor Booze led the winners with 22 points. For Salisbury, it was their ninth straight loss overall, and dropped them to 4-14 and 0-4 in the Central Carolina’s Conference. It was East Davidson’s first conference win in four games and made their overall record 3-13.
(Girls) Salisbury 63 East Davidson 57 (Brielle Blair led the Lady Hornets with 28 points and thirteen rebounds. Daterria Connor added 15 points. Salisbury evened their conference record at 2-2, and went to 10-8 overall
(Boys) North Rowan 89 East Montgomery 44 (Oshon West had 22 points in three quarters. North improved to 15-3 overall, 10-0 in the Yadkin Valley Conference.)
(Girls) North Rowan 91 Est Montgomery 21 (North led 50-15 at halftime in one of the largest margins of victory for the girls in school history. Five players in double figure scoring, led by Special Washington with a triple-double 15 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. North improved to 8-7 overall, 8-2 in the YVC.)
(Boys) East Rowan 57 West Iredell 47 (East took a 14-6 lead at the end of the first quarter, and coasted the rest of the way. The Mustangs are now 5-12 overall, 2-5 in the NPC.)
(Girls) East Rowan 61 West Iredell 57 (Karleigh Wike had 23 points and 16 rebounds for East. West Iredell’s Elizabeth Webb topped all scorers with 35 points. East is now 11-7 overall, 3-4 in the NPC.
(Boys) Davie County 76 West Forsyth 58 (Caleb Martin had a career high 37 points for Davie, that included six three pointers. )
(Boys) Kannapolis 78 Central Cabarrus 55 (Girls) Central Cabarrus 54 Kannapolis 41
