Salisbury Head Football Coach, Joe Pinyan, is moving to Carson to take over the Head Coaching position there. Pinyan made the announcement Tuesday. Pinyan had been the coach at Salisbury for the past ten years, and had averaged ten wins per season at the school. When he took over the reigns at Salisbury, he turned a program that had floundered in the previous years and turned them into a perennial winner, including winning the 2AA State Title in 2010 and going deep into the playoffs in other years. He had also been Athletic Director at the school during his most prominent years. The Coach will take his highly successful Wishbone Offense with him. Earlier he had turned down an offer to coach at Watauga in Boone. Carson will open with Salisbury at Ludwig Stadium in the first game of the season this Fall. There will be a search ongoing for the new Coach at Salisbury.
