The Washington Redskins won their third straight game against an NFC East opponent Monday night, edging the New York Giants at Fed-Ex Field in Landover, Maryland 17-16.  Rookie star, Robert Griffin III led the Skins, passing for 163 yards, and rushing for 72 yards in five carries.  Pierre Garcon had eight receptions for 106 yards and a touchdown, and Rookie Alfred Morris rushed for 124 yards on 22 carries to go over the 1,000 yard mark for the season.  Washington, now 6-6, ended a ten game losing streak in Monday night games at home, and moved within a game of the Giants in the Division.  After taking the lead in the fourth quarter, the Skins were able to run the clock out and control the ball in the final minutes to get past the Giants.  Washington hosts the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday and kicks off at 1:00PM.  Newsradio 1490 will begin the network broadcast of that game at noon for the pregame.
