SALISBURY – In a letter to Rowan County Commission Chairman Jim Sides, Rowan Salisbury School Board Chairman Richard Miller and Salisbury Mayor Paul Woodson are requesting that the county reinstate the $6 million it had at one time pledged to the school board to build a new central office.

In the letter, Miller and Woodson say that since the “Salisbury City Council has received word from NCDENR that they have no objection to the development of the downtown central office site located at 329 S. Main Street” the final obstacle to the development of that site has now been removed.

The letter is intended to invite the county to partner with the City Council and Board of Education in the project.
