SALISBURY, NC (WBTV)- Covenant Community Connection invites residents of Salisbury and Rowan County to participate in the Meet Your Neighbor series with a public forum on race relations in our community.

This event will be held on November 12, at 7:30 p.m., in Tom Smith Auditorium at Catawba College. The panel will include a diverse group of local leaders; Kevin Auten (Sheriff), Philip Burgess (Salisbury Ecumenical Choir Director), Fred Evan (Retired School Administrator) and Liliana Spears (Local Businesswoman).

The panelists will share a brief story about their experiences living in our community, followed by a time of question and answer from the audience. The discussion will be moderated by Raymond Coltrain and Pastor Henry Diggs.

Meet Your Neighbor forums recognize that interaction and conversation among the diverse populations of our community foster deeper understanding and respect for all. Covenant Community Connection is a sub-committee of Human Relations Council, whose mission is to create an environment of hospitality, inclusiveness, acceptance, and appreciation of the diversity of all people.
