Duke at Carolina headlines area College Football

In the last big weekend of College Football’ s regular season, #24 ranked Duke goes for the berth in the ACC Championship game next week in Charlotte, as they play North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan Stadium Saturday afternoon.  Duke is 9-2, have won seven straight games and already tied the program’s single-season record for wins.  North Carolina also became bowl eligible with their win last week and have won five straight to hike their record to 6-5.  Duke won the game last year in Durham to finally take the Victory Bell away from the Tar Heels.  Hoping for revenge today, UNC will be hoping they can put another one in the victory column and keep Duke from getting in the Conference Championship game against Florida State in Charlotte next Saturday.  Newsradio 1490 will have play by play coverage with pregame starting at 11:00AM, with kickoff at noontime.

Other games of note include:  Wake Forest at Vanderbilt 12:21PM, Maryland at NC State 12;30PM, Georgia at Georgia Tech 3:30PM, Virginia Tech at Virginia 3:30PM, Clemson at South Carolina 7:00PM, Ohio State at Michigan Noon, Notre Dame at Stanford 7:00PM, UCLA at Southern Cal 8:00PM, Florida State at Florida Noon, and the national game of the day, #1 Alabama at #4 Auburn 3:30PM
