Intimidators lose two

The Kannapolis Intimidators continued to struggle with the West Virginia Power, losing two games to them on the road 5-1 and 1-0, making it ten straight losses to that team in head to head competition.  Now 39-61 for the season, the I’s are off Wednesday, then will return home to start a home stand Thursday with the Hickory Crawdads providing the opposition Thursday night. 

In the Junior American Legion State Tournament, hosted by Kernersville Post 36 at East Forsyth High School, Mint Hill won twice against Kernersville to take the State Championship 9-3 and 8-5.  Mint Hill had been in the position to having to win twice Tuesday over the host squad in order to win the title.  West Rowan’s team had made it to the final four before being eliminated by Kernersville on Monday.
