NFL Training Camps Open

Many of the National Football League teams are opening up training camps Thursday, including the Carolina Panthers players reporting to Wofford College in Spartanburg Thursday, with the first practice scheduled for Friday evening at 6:15PM.  The Washington Redskins are also opening training camp at their new site Thursday, in Richmond Virginia.  Wednesday Robert Griffin the Third said at the new headquarters that he most likely would not be playing in any preseason games as he continues rehab from recsonstructive surgery on his right knee.  He was cleared by his doctors a few days ago to take part in practice his practice sessions will be limited and he hopes to still be ready to go for the season opener Monday September 9th against the Philadelphia Eagle at Fed-Ex Field.  Newsradio 1490 is once again bringing season long play by play coverage of Redskin games from the Redskin network this season.
